Пирамида Микерина
Описание: Пирамида Микерина – это маленькая «жемчужина» среди великих пирамид Плато Гиза. Её выделяет сохранившаяся нижняя гранитная облицовка, уникальное внутреннее устройство и храм, построенный из колоссальных известняковых блоков. Необычное расположение внутренних ходов и помещений исследователи объясняют тем, что Пирамида строилась в несколько этапов, однако с этим предположением не все согласны. В 1837 году генерал-майор Howard Vyse и британский инженер и египтолог John Shae Perring стали первыми, кому удалось проникнуть внутрь Пирамиды, но она оказалась пустой. Самой ценной находкой были фрагменты человеческих костей и отполированный базальтовый саркофаг, который, к сожалению, утонул вместе с кораблем в Средиземном море близ берегов Испании, по пути в Англию.Альтернативные имена: Третья Пирамида,Пирамида Менкаура
