Красная Пирамида

Описание: "Сияющая Пирамида" – так переводит название самой крупной из двух каменных пирамид Дашурского некрополя знаменитый американский египтолог Mark Lehner. Одно из названий – Красная (или Розовая) – Пирамида получила из-за розоватого оттенка известняка – основного строительного материала. Красная Пирамида имеет самый низкий угол наклона среди всех египетских пирамид. Пирамида очень похожа на Великую Пирамиду на Плато Гиза не только внешне, но и внутри идеальной плоскостью стен, коридоров и камер, строгой геометрией, местами гигантских блоков перекрытий, а высокие ступенчатые своды камер очень похожи на перекрытие Большой галереи в Великой Пирамиде. Было ли это захоронением на самом деле или нет, сказать сегодня трудно, так как ни мумифицированного тела фараона, ни саркофага, ни другой погребальной утвари в Пирамиде обнаружено не было.
