Satellite Pyramid at Meidum

Description: The Satellite Pyramid on the south side of the Meidum Pyramid is one of those structures from which almost nothing has survived on the surface. The Pyramid was first mentioned by the British Egyptologist Flinders Petrie, but it was cleared by his colleague Ernest Mackay in 1909. The excavation report published by him, the accompanying photographs and diagrams are currently the only available source for the study of this sand-covered monument, and all few subsequent publications were written using it. The Satellite Pyramid at Meidum is a structure that deserves more attention. We can only hope that archaeologists will clear it again, and it will be available for research.
